FAQs

These FAQs are meant to answer any questions pertaining to our group sessions. If you have specific 1:1 coaching questions please inquire directly.

Where do we meet?

The location for each group in-person run will vary every few weeks, but will be held in the Beverly MA area. Coach Ashley will provide the location details in advance of each run.

When are the group runs and what can I expect?

The Summer group runs will take place on Saturdays at 7:00am and Mondays at 6:00pm. On Saturdays we will focus on endurance runs at a slow "conversation pace". Ashley will group participants based on their goals: 10k, 5k or walk/run. Mondays are about intervals. We'll either run drills in a local neighborhood or at a local track where we focus on short bursts of faster running and recovery.

Not every participant is focused on speed or racing. Walk/run participants and runners returning from injury are welcome and can follow a modified training approach.

Is there parking?

Yes, the locations are selected with parking in mind.

Do I need to run a certain pace to join?

Dash includes runners with a wide range of experience and pace levels. Participants are grouped based on goals and ability whenever possible, and no one is left behind.

If a friend missed the start of the session, is it too late to sign up mid-session?

This is all depending on current size of the group and will be determined by Ashley.

How often are your session cycles?

Dash typically offers Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall training sessions, along with occasional community runs and coaching opportunities between sessions.

I'm nervous, can we chat prior?

Prospective participants are always welcome to reach out with questions before registering. Email her at dashcoaching978@gmail.com

Is Dash a run club or a coached program?

Dash is a coached running program led by RRCA Certified Running Coach Ashley Campbell. Participants receive structured weekly training plans, group workouts, coaching guidance, and community support.

Do I need to be training for a race?

No. While many Dash participants are training for a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or other event, others join simply to stay consistent, improve their fitness, and be part of a supportive running community.

What should I wear and what are the weather policies?

We will run outdoors each session. Prior to beginning the session Ashley will provide participants with a clothing guide based on temperatures.

Weather Policy: Dash runs take place in most typical New England weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold. Runs may be modified, relocated, delayed, or canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe. Examples include a heat index of 95°F or higher, thunder or lightning within 30 minutes of the scheduled start, icy footing, blizzard or whiteout conditions, or temperatures below 10°F. Weather-related cancellations will not be rescheduled. All weather-related decisions are made at the coach's discretion with participant safety as the top priority.

Weather-related updates will be communicated to the group as early as possible on the day of the run. All weather decisions are made at the discretion of the coach with participant safety as the top priority.

Can my kids come?

Unfortunately we cannot accept children at this time. As an RRCA insured group, our policy does not include runners under the age of 18 or children in strollers during our runs for the women's running group. As a local mom, Ashley also sees this as time to focus on your personal fitness - everyone deserves their mom time!

Can I run with headphones?

The RRCA maintains a long-standing guideline against the use of headphones in running events and group training runs. This is a safety precaution that is encouraged via dash women's running group.
